dlnbhosts(ADMN)
dlnbhosts --
update NetBIOS host table
Syntax
/etc/dlnbhosts
/etc/dlnbhosts hostname ipaddr
/etc/dlnbhosts $groupname hostname
[,hostname] ...
Description
The dlnbhosts command manipulates the global NetBIOS host
table. This internal table is normally maintained by the NetBIOS
daemon (see
nbd(ADMN))
through NetBIOS messages on the local network. dlnbhosts
adds hostname entries from the lmhosts file (see
lmhosts(SFF))
to the NetBIOS table for hosts on other subnets.
In the second form, hostname is the name of a
NetBIOS host. ipaddr is where the NetBIOS name can
be reached, in either dot notation or symbolic IP host name.
This form saves the step of adding the hostname/ipaddr
pair to the lmhosts file.
The third form adds a NetBIOS hostname to the groupname.
The group name must be preceded by a ``$''.
