curs_addstr(S)

curs_addstr: addstr, addnstr, waddstr, waddnstr, mvaddstr, mvaddnstr, mvwaddstr, mvwaddnstr -- add a string of characters to a curses window and advance cursor

Description

All of these routines write all the characters of the null-terminated character string str on the given window. The effect is similar to calling waddch(S) once for each character in the string. The four routines with n as the last argument write at most n characters. If n is negative, then the entire string is added.

Return values

All routines return the integer ERR on failure and an integer value other than ERR on successful completion.

Warning

The header file curses.h automatically includes the header files stdio.h and unctrl.h.

All of these routines except waddstr(S) and waddnstr(S) can be macros.
