cdmtCompress(CDMT)

cdmtCompress -- populate $CDMT_DIR/sso with compressed component distribution files

Syntax

cdmtCompress [-config filename] [-cmpnt *.cmpnt files]

Description

cdmtCompress populates the $CDMT_DIR/sso directory with the component distribution files and compresses the files, if specified.

cdmtCompress runs sum(C) and determines the size of each of the distribution files and then updates the Software Storage Object (SSO) databases (in $CDMT_DIR/sso).

By default, cdmtCompress reads the $CDMT_DIR/cdmt.config file, if it exists, for additional configuration information. See cdmt.config(CDMT).

cdmtCompress accepts the following options:

-config filename
read the specified configuration filename, instead of the default $CDMT_DIR/cdmt.config file

-cmpnt *.cmpnt files
copy and compress only the files for the component specified by the *.cmpnt files.

Exit values

If execution was successful, cdmtCompress exits with a value of 0. If execution failed, cdmtCompress exits with a non-zero number.

Files
