praliases(ADMN)

praliases -- print aliases database

Syntax

/usr/bin/praliases [ -C file ] [ -f file ] [ key ... ]

Description

praliases utility displays the current system aliases, one per line, in no particular order. The special internal @:@ alias will be displayed if present. The default alias file is /usr/lib/mail/aliases.db.

The -C option reads the specified sendmail configuration file instead of the default.

The -f option causes praliases to dump the specified filename instead of the default. filename should not have the .db extension; this is added automatically.

If a .db file does not exist, praliases will attempt to open an old-style DBM database and display its contents instead.

If one or more keys are specified on the command line, only entries matching those keys are displayed.
