Accessing DOS and OS/2 servers with LAN Manager Client
The LAN Manager Client allows you to connect your SCO OpenServer Desktop
or Enterprise system to resources on these servers:

Microsoft® LAN Manager Server for OS/2

Microsoft MS-NET Server
LAN Manager Client capabilities
Users on a LAN Manager Client can:

view servers on a LAN Manager network and the services they provide.
-
access shared filesystems on a LAN Manager server.
-
set ``persistent connections'' with a shared filesystem to
simplify login procedures.
-
copy and move files over the network.
-
run commands on the server.
-
print files to a shared printer.
-
send messages to other LAN Manager users and aliases.
-
log in to a LAN Manager server.
-
perform remote administration on a LAN Manager server.

Administration procedures
LAN Manager Client administration consists of:

adding client to the networks.
-
configuring clients.
-
starting and stopping clients.
-
monitoring client status.
The management of LAN Manager resources and accounts is performed on
the server, as described in
Administering LAN Manager,
although remote access permissions may be granted
for server administration.
