Configuring the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)

PPP MIB support

SCO PPP supports queries for data about PPP status from the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) daemon. For PPP to respond to such queries, the SNMP daemon must be running on the local system. SCO PPP will provide data about any of the objects within the following two Management Information Bases (MIBs):

PPP Link Control Protocol MIB (PPP LCP MIB)
PPP IP Network Control Protocol MIB (PPP IPCP MIB)

The objects contained in each of the above two MIBs are listed in the RFCs for these MIBs, RFC 1471 and RFC 1473. See ``For more about PPP'' for the names of these RFCs and how to obtain them.
