Modifying a PPP link endpoint

To modify the configuration of an endpoint:

1. Run the PPP Manager.

2. Highlight the endpoint to be modified from the list.

3. Select Modify, then click on OK.

4. Enter the desired information.

5. Enter advanced configuration options, such as compression, authentication, or timeout, by selecting the appropriate advanced options button. See ``Advanced PPP configuration'' for more information.

6. Click on OK to confirm the changed endpoint configuration.

7. Select Exit from the Host menu.

8. Make any needed changes to other PPP files such as /etc/pppfilter and /etc/pppstack.

9. For an automatic dialup endpoint, restart the link with ifconfig. For example, you could enter ifconfig ppp0 up.
