Getting ID variables

The getid(ADMN) command retrieves a subset of the system group from a node. The syntax is getid node community.

The following shows an example of getid:

getid example

   # getid paris public
   

Name: sysDescr.0 Value: SNMPD Version 3.0 for SCO UNIX

Name: sysObjectID.0 Value: SCO.1.0

Name: sysUpTime.0 Value: 178892

The sysUpTime variable is the number of clock ticks since the agent was last restarted; each tick represents 1/100th of a second.
