Primary/Alternate adapter
This parameter applies to these adapters:

You can install up to two Token-Ring adapters in your system.
If you are using two adapters, make sure to use the
Primary-Alternate
switches on the adapters to set up one as the primary adapter
and the other as the alternate adapter.
You must also ensure that the adapters are designated as
``Primary'' or ``Alternate'' during configuration with the
Network Configuration Manager.
Obtain switch information for these adapters from the
documentation supplied by the adapter manufacturer.
