The current directory

The directory you are working in at the moment is called your current directory. When you first log into your computer, your home directory is your current directory. Whenever the Manager menu is displayed on your screen, the files and subdirectories in your current directory are also listed. You can change your current directory at any time. (This process is described in ``Changing the current directory''.)
