stime -- set time

Syntax

cc . . . -lc

int stime (tp)
long *tp;

Description

The stime system call sets the system's idea of the time and date. tp points to the value of time as measured in seconds from 1970-01-01 00:00 UTC.


[EPERM]
stime fails if the effective user ID of the calling process is not super-user.

Diagnostics

Upon successful completion, a value of 0 is returned. Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned, and errno is set to indicate the error.
