fsname(ADM)


fsname -- print or change the name of a file system

Syntax

/etc/fsname [ -p ] [ -s name ] /dev/device

Description

The fsname utility is used to print or change the name of a filesystem. The options are:

-p
Select the ``pack'' name field instead of the filesystem name field.

-s name
Change the specified field in the superblock.
The default action is to print the name of the filesystem.

Limitations

This program works on both S5-based and XENIX filesystems. For other filesystem types, use labelit(ADM).
