Symbol table entries
All symbols, regardless of storage class and type,
have the same format for their entries in the symbol table.
The symbol table entries each contain 18 bytes of information.
The meaning of each of the fields in the symbol table entry
is described in
``Symbol table entry format''.
It should be noted that indices for symbol table entries begin at 0
and count upward.
Each auxiliary entry also counts as one symbol.
